Coromandel Agistment was established in 2008 in Western Sydney.
The 450 acre Silverdale property is managed by sisters Claire Readings and Katie Tasker with a range of facilities.
Claire grew up spending holidays and weekends at her Grandparent’s farm where horses and ponies were part of the fun. From 16 she attended pony club where she gained her A Certificate and was part of dressage and jumping teams in her earlier years and then continued onto eventing where she continually had a small team of horses ranging from green off the track youngsters up to 3* level. She was on the NZ Talent ID Squad and also represented the North Island in the Silver Spurs team’s competition. She has been lucky enough to train with some of NZ and Australia’s top trainers. Claire also spent a year in the UK as a groom gaining valuable experience. She now rides her beautiful Lipizzaner stallion Maestoso Gratia in dressage competitions and jumps him for fun at home. She also has a couple of lovely young horses who she hopes to get out in the dressage and jumping rings in the near future.
Like Claire, Katie also grew up spending holidays and weekends at their Grandparent’s farm. Katie was a member of her local Pony Club spending most weekends at Horse Events during her teenage years and onwards. Later on, Katie went from competing as an Eventer to turning her hand at Western Pleasure.
Katie has a wealth of knowledge with over 20 years in the Veterinary Industry from working as a Small Animal Vet Nurse to working for Veterinary Wholesalers and Manufactures. Katie also qualified as an Equine Nurse spending plenty of time in a specialised Neonatal & ICU Facility. She enjoys spending time with her Quarter Horse Mika.
